Notes on data protection

for services of the website www.deutschkurs-tieraerzte.com (“Deutschkurs Tieraerzte”) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

  1. General information

www.deutschkurs-tieraerzte.com is a project of Vetion.de GmbH (“Vetion”).

For the use of services in connection with Deutschkurs Tieraerzte, we process and store the personal data transmitted by you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) and f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The aforementioned services include the Membership of Deutschkurs Tieraerzte, booking language course packages and the Participation in live courseswhich can be booked via Deutschkurs Tieraerzte, as well as the submission of personal language contributions as practice or for assessment.

By registering or submitting an application, you agree that your personal data may be stored and processed by Vetion for the purpose of providing information and services via the website. Furthermore, certain data or contributions may be transmitted to the language teachers involved in the project. Furthermore, you agree that we may contact you for appointments, to clarify questions and issues, as well as in the context of homework checks and the mentoring program, including by telephone. I agree that my employer may receive a brief overview of my learning progress upon request, provided that they pay the course fees.

The data will not be disclosed to other third parties unless you have given Vetion your prior consent to do so. Your data will not be transferred abroad. Data will only be transferred to third parties if Vetion is obliged to do so by law or by court order or if it is necessary to avert threats to state and public security or to prosecute criminal offenses. In addition, visits to the websites are recorded with the help of Google Analytics (see also 7. Google Analytics). You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. Revocation prevents the service from being used.

  1. Personal data

The following personal data transmitted by you will be stored for the stated purpose and for the stated duration. Your data can be deleted via the deletion option provided on the websites or, if not available, upon request to one of the contact persons listed under 3) Responsible persons addresses mentioned above.

Deutschkurs Tieraerzte-registration:
Title (optional), first name, last name, additional address (optional), street, postal code, city, telephone (optional), email, telephone.
The data is stored until the customer account is deleted.

If proof/contributions were sent to Vetion during registration, these will be deleted after checking and activation of the user profile.

Certificates of participation

Name, address, e-mail, bank details (only for refunds). The data is stored for the fulfillment of the contract and to provide you with information for recognition.

The aforementioned data is collected from the date of collection stored until the end of the legal obligations (tax law, 12 years). After this period has expired, the data will be deleted unless there are other legal obligations to the contrary or they are still required to fulfill the original purpose for which they were processed.

  1. Data protection officer

In accordance with Art. 37 GDPR and Art. 38 BDSG, no data protection officer has been appointed.

  1. Logfiles

In connection with your access, general data is stored on our servers that may allow identification (e.g. IP address, date, time and pages viewed). This data is collected automatically when you visit the website. No personal utilization takes place. We reserve the right to statistically evaluate anonymized data records.

Data is stored for reasons of data security in order to ensure the stability and operational security of our system.

For logging purposes, confirmation of acceptance of the privacy policy is logged. The deletion of user profiles is also logged. The following data is collected for this purpose:
User name, (email), time.

  1. Cookies

Cookies are used on this website. In simple terms, cookies are small programs that are stored on the end device from which the user accesses this site and collect, forward and evaluate information about user behavior on the Internet. These cookies are stored locally in the browser you are using and allow this browser to be identified. If the user does not delete the cookies from the browser they are using after the session has ended, these cookies can be used to recognize that the user has previously visited this site. This also restores and applies the user settings previously made in relation to the website.

Information on the handling of cookies can also be found in the documentation of the browser used, which should also offer (partly automated) options for refusing to accept cookies or having them automatically deleted or being able to delete them after accessing the page.
The cookies used are also used to make the website user-friendly.

The legal basis for the collection of cookies results from Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR and serves to safeguard the legitimate interests of the publisher as well as those of third parties involved in the website, e.g. server host, provider.

  1. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to analyze and optimize our online offering. Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the user is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offer by users, to compile reports on the activities within this online offer and to provide us with further services associated with the use of this online offer and the use of the Internet. Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of users is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

The IP address transmitted by the user's browser will not be merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the online offer and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Users' personal data is deleted or anonymized after 26 months.

  1. Zoom/MS Teams

Zoom or MS Teams is the software used to carry out the colleague meetings and live language lessons. The use of the software is at the user's own responsibility and the terms of use and data protection of the software owner apply. Vetion does not maintain any interfaces to this software or store any data.

Recordings or screenshots will only be made in exceptional cases and only after prior announcement.

  1. Rights

Your rights: information, data transfer, rectification, restriction of processing, erasure, right to object and complaints
In accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to Information whether and which of your personal data we process. This applies in particular to the purpose of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data is transmitted and the storage period of your data.
You also have the right to Correction of this data if it has been processed incorrectly (Art. 16 GDPR).

You have the right to Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), i.e. transmission of the data provided by you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format to yourself or to another controller.

You also have the right to Deletion (Art. 17 GDPR) and Restriction the processing of your data (Art. 18 GDPR) as well as to Contradiction against the processing of personal data concerning you (Art. 21 GDPR).

If you object to data processing, you will no longer be able to participate in training courses.

If you delete your user account with Deutschkurs Tieraerzte, all your user data in connection with Deutschkurs Tieraerzte will be deleted. You can assert your right of revocation and correction at the following address:

For you there is also a Right of appeal with the supervisory authority responsible under data protection law (Art. 77 GDPR).
The exercise of the aforementioned rights must be declared in writing to the German Veterinary Association.
Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties within the scope of the consent you have given, provided that the transfer is not necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f), para. 4 GDPR).
