We answer your questions

Yesterday Maria presented our online language course in a Zoom meeting.

Among them were executives from German veterinary practices in the small animal and equine sectors.

We were very happy about the strong interest!

You may have already asked yourselves the questions of our audience. Therefore here again summarized. Deshalb hier nochmal zusammengefasst.

First, we discussed the prerequisite for participation in the language course:

1. Is it a prerequisite to have a recognized license to practice medicine/profession in Germany? - No.

We know that the mills of bureaucracy sometimes grind slowly. While you are waiting for your license to practice medicine to be recognized or for your professional permit to be issued, a language course like ours is certainly a good idea to tide you over.

If you need help with the paperwork or recognition exams, check here: www.support4vetmed.de

2. Is it a requirement to have already taken a language course? - No.

With us, you will learn veterinary terminology and important phrases for everyday practice. This also includes grammar exercises.

In order to use our courses effectively, you should already know some German.

However, you are of course free to work on our course at the beginning of your German learning process. Maybe this will help you to learn.

The "DIY E-Learning" package can be booked by anyone at any time.

You can work on all content in all packages at your own speed and in your own order.

3. does the "German course for veterinarians" replace the B2 language certificate or the specialist language exam that some federal states require for recognition of the license to practice medicine? - No.

Our language course does not replace a basic German course. Therefore, for the recognition process of the license to practice medicine, you still usually have to reach the B2 level at a certified language school or take a legally required exam.

Our course is a subject-specific advanced course that is designed to prepare you for your everyday work in a German veterinary practice and to support you in learning veterinary terminology.

You will receive a certificate of attendance when you have successfully completed all modules.

4. Is it a requirement to be in Germany? - No.

The idea behind the language course is that we support veterinarians from abroad who want to work in German veterinary practices in the best possible way.

We don't care where you live if you have the desire to work in Germany.

Everybody is welcome!

5. Is it a requirement to be a veterinarian. - No.

Our language course is specifically designed to meet the needs of practicing veterinarians in small animal practice and equine medicine.

However, it is not a requirement to be a veterinarian.

An important part of our language courses revolves around communication with the patient owner.

Knowing this and veterinary terminology confidently in German can help all veterinary practice staff in their day-to-day work.

Of course, this also applies to veterinary assistants.

Anyone and everyone can register. We are happy if many people find our offer good and helpful and hopefully tell many veterinarians about it afterwards.

Then there were questions about the live events:

6. When do the live events take place?

When it suits most of the participants best! We will ask this in a small survey after your login.

Because learning is even more fun in small groups.

We plan morning, noon, afternoon and evening sessions. This way, even a possible time difference does not hinder your learning process.

You can choose the dates that are best for you.

If you can't find a suitable date for you, just write to us at kontakt@deutschkurs-tieraerzte.com. We will find a solution.

7. How often do live events take place?

We are still collecting a few students - in the future there will be dates to choose from every week.

8. What if I can't attend a language course for a week?

You learn at your own pace. Depending on the package you have booked, you can choose a certain number of live dates free of charge.

You can attend every week or just once a month or take a break for a few weeks. As you like.

If you can't attend an already booked date spontaneously, that's no problem.

However, we would like you to cancel in time so that we can plan better and your place is available for someone else.

If you cancel at too short notice, the date may be deducted from your contingent included in the package.

9. How big are the language groups?

For the best learning experience we want a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants.

10. Your language courses are great. I want more of them!

Great! It's possible to book additional live language courses with the language teachers.

We are looking forward to you! Sign up now and choose the package that suits you best.

Do you have any questions? On 11.10.22 at 2 p.m. you can ask them in person at another introductory meeting. You will find the zoom link after registration under "Live events".
